Martial arts in my life have made me who I am now, because I spent most of my life practicing, thinking and developing just above the martial arts as a whole. During my own journey from a little boy who couldn’t do anything, I worked my way up to the current instructor position at our Kung Fu club in Karviná. During this life’s journey, there were a few key moments that this page tells you about.

Martial art activities

Martial arts

I still have an “original” insight into martial arts, which I perceive as an essential opportunity for everyone to find himself through knowledge of body and mind, which martial arts combine into one complex harmonious whole.

Self Defence

Self-defense is not just an art of defending oneself and those around you. It is the interplay of many aspects that create such conditions that we can “feel” safe.

Interesting post about self-defence HERE

Fitness

Fitness is my hobby, I love exercise and who does the martial arts, fitness is a natural part in any form. To break  personal records, to know what the body is capable of … That’s worth it! 😉

Practised style: Chan Shaolin Si – Dju Su Kung Fu

The style basically consists of the
“BIG DRAGON”, which contains 9 basic forms that teach the practitioner of this style in basic techniques, stances, and mobility skills.

Another aspect is “PARTNERS”, as the name suggests, these are partner exercises, which are designed to teach basic self-defense and the use of techniques with a rival.

Furthermore, there are
“BREATHING EXERCISE”, based on the principle of isometric stretching of muscles associated with the correct technique of breathing and concentration. This is the “QiGong” method.

ABOUT THE STYLE FOUNDER

Prof. Dr.phil. Gerald Karel MEIJERS, Prince of Genghis Khan GANJUURYN DSCHERO KHAN, born on 28 August 1928 in Mongolia.

In the early 1970s, based on his close contacts with the Shaolin Order, he began to consider teaching the original monastic systems of Shaolin in the West. Thanks to his great knowledge and abilities, he became not only a member of this community, but also a leading monk who, on behalf of the Shaolin Order, made these teachings known in the West for the first time.

My story step by step

My warrior journey began in 2001, when I first came to the SKCK club led by my father. Actually, this whole club was founded by my father for me and my brother to have a background where we would train properly, because the martial arts we tried in Karviná did not suit us. I guess we were very demanding then, but thanks for that!

I started out as a small, unguided “bullet” that didn’t really do anything, but was always everywhere where could be … Thanks to that there was always yelling at me, and sometimes even worse … a couple of times my coaches brought me from the gym with legs up … Beautiful memories! 🙂

Over the years, I have met a lot of great people who have often been very talented, and sometimes on the other hand, I thought that I´m not maybe so bad! … Everybody is as good as he is talented and how much he tries to become good and use his talent at all.

I used to go to regular trainings twice a week in my childhood, but that was for me all about martial arts. You know, childhood – PC games, going outdoors with friends, well … just such a normal childhood, which I enjoyed to experience, it moved me a step further on my way of warrior.

One of the major breakthroughs came when I started attending senior trainings at the club when I was 13 years old. There I was training with the best martial artist, not in a meaning of their achievements on competitions, but in a meaning of training the best they could, truly with their whole heart! There was no more slacking, there was real top training to the bottom of our powers. Always when I left after training with shaky hands and at home I could not even hold a cup between my fingers … That was it.

This is how I would define the start that moved me farthest. At that time, I also began to actively strengthen and overcome myself through “competition” with others, which only helped the whole progress.

At the age of 18, I received the 1st Toan at the technical examination in Bystřice, my first master (black) belt, which was the culmination of my training in the field of martial arts. It was a lifelong goal that when I reached it I could actively pursue what I wanted to pursue.

I take the black belt as the beginning of the path of active study of oneself through the path of martial arts. It is not important to constantly train the techniques, but it is important to train what we recognize for ourselves that is important for us. Someone begins to devote himself to self-defense, someone continues to train basic techniques, someone starts his philosophy path, … Everyone becomes a “Master” in the area in which he wants to realize himself.

For me, after receiving the black belt, I got a great motivation for fitness and strengthening, gaining strength and body building to see for myself the “beauty and strength” that the body can provide if we give it the necessary impulses for this process.

Of course at that time, I also did classical training, I also did fitness trainings, at that time I practiced almost every day twice a day and my body was really in good condition, strength and health.

The beginning of my own “conscious” journey of the warrior begins in 2017, when I moved not only in martial arts but also in my personal life a little closer to understanding the essence of it all. I began to study carefully, meditate, constantly thinking about all that life is, looking for the essence of why martial arts makes a large part of my life.

Well … the answer was unexpectedly clear. See how traditional martial arts are based on ancient scripts, the experiences of masters who have devoted their lives to martial arts … Yes, martial arts are not just about physical training, but the interplay of philosophy, that is, a life approach to life, concentration training, managing emotional settings, and perfection of the physical body are an integral part of this whole, called martial art.

Now I am trying not only to study actively, but also to help others through the guidance and at the same time to help myself, because it is through practice that theory becomes a reality and often practice brings a lot of knowledge that moves the theory a little further.

It is always necessary to realize that the journey begins where the theory begins to pass in practice.

Then just focus on what you love. 😉

Life motivation

My father, martial art teacher, and in some sense undoubtedly the life coach, who inspires me by his own way of life
of today’s “ME”. Some people call us brothers!
As he himself likes to say:
“Be yourself and do everything exactly
how you define yourself to be right. “

Survival & Kung Fu Club Karviná

The club, whose founder is my father, provides me with not only a lot of life experience in the field of martial arts, but overall development, where I constantly meet really many great people. Thanks to them I managed to shape myself as a club instructor and coach that I am today.

Shaolin temple

For me, Shaolin Temple is not only a true cradle of martial arts for me. Because martial arts are not just about fighting training, but a complex cultural system in which people develop in all aspects of life and provide a great background to achieve a real life “luck”.

Although I have never liked “collecting papers” and generally this certificate system
I do not consider it as important at all, yet I am really proud of this certificate collection.

It’s my life’s work, the way I went, blackmailed,
and it was that path that made me who I am today over many years.
